Rediscovering strength, health, and self - one step at a time.
Welcome
Welcome to More Than Mom—I’m so glad you’re here! If you’ve ever felt like motherhood has consumed you, leaving little time to care for yourself, you’re not alone. This space is all about rediscovering strength, health, and balance while embracing the ups and downs of real life. No perfection, no guilt—just small, meaningful steps toward feeling like you again. Thank you for visiting—I hope you find encouragement, inspiration, and a reminder that you are more than mom
Be Kind to Yourself
The one thing I’ve learned after becoming a mom? Patience. Grace. And that negative self-talk is a sneaky little bastard—and fighting it is hard.
But listen—YOU are amazing. Whether you birthed your babies, adopted, IVF, surrogacy—YOU ARE A MOM, and it is HARD. No one prepares you for how much it changes everything.
Maybe you thought you’d bounce back to the body you had before pregnancy. I did too. Reality check: it didn’t happen. It’s taken me seven years and two kids to figure that out… and I still struggle with it.
The exhaustion? The constant demand? Be kind to yourself. Especially in that first year. Soak it in, because they grow fast. Before you know it, they want less from you, need less from you—and as heartbreaking as that is, that’s the goal, right? We raise them to become their own people.
You ate "bad" today, this week, this month, this year? It’s okay. Be kind to yourself.
You skipped a workout? A whole week? It’s okay. Be kind to yourself.
Instead of focusing on what you didn’t do, reflect on the gains that actually matter.
Did your baby roll over for the first time?
Did your child start reading?
Did they try a new sport and love it?
Life is already hard, and we are so damn good at beating ourselves up. Trust me—I’m probably an A+ student in this. But if there’s one thing I keep coming back to, it’s this:
Be kind to yourself. You’re doing better than you think.
“If you ever need a reminder that you’re doing enough, stick around. Let’s figure this out together.”
