About Me

Hi, I’m Jenny, and I’m so glad you’re here!

Like many moms, I found myself completely consumed by the roles of caregiver, partner, and everything in between—until one day, I realized I had lost sight of me. Somewhere between pregnancy, high-risk complications, NICU stays, sleepless nights, and the endless demands of motherhood, I forgot what it felt like to truly take care of myself.

After experiencing HELLP syndrome, navigating the challenges of postpartum recovery, and later discovering I had Type 2 Diabetes and low testosterone, I knew something had to change. I didn’t just want to “get back in shape” or “be healthy”—I wanted to feel like myself again. I wanted energy. Strength. Confidence. And most of all, I wanted to thrive.

That’s why I created More Than Mom—a space for moms who are ready to prioritize themselves without guilt and embrace a journey toward better health, strength, and balance. Here, you’ll find real-life insights on fitness, nutrition, self-care, and mindset, all while juggling the chaos of mom life. I’ll also share my personal experiences—from healing after HELLP to managing diabetes and hormones—so you know you’re not alone in this.

But let’s be real—I’m still figuring this all out. I don’t have it all together. Some days, I crush my workouts and make meals that fuel my body. Other days? Life kicks my ass, stress takes over, and I eat whatever is easiest (sadly this happens more days than not). There are days when I feel strong and days when I feel guilty for not doing "enough." And that’s okay—because this journey isn’t about perfection.

I believe that health isn’t about getting it right all the time—it’s about showing up for yourself, even when it’s messy. It’s about taking small steps, making mistakes, learning, and moving forward anyway. It’s about giving yourself grace while still striving to be stronger, healthier, and happier.

So if you’ve ever felt like you’re more than just “mom” but don’t quite know where to start, you’re in the right place. Let’s rediscover our strength, health, and sense of self—together.

Welcome to More Than Mom. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
